FC Barcelona remain unquestionably the form team in the current LaLiga EA Sports season to date. The Catalan side top the table ahead of matchday 12 with a six point cushion over second placed Real Madrid following Saturday’s 0-4 El Clásico contest with a stunning second half display which showcased just how good Barça are currently playing.

On Friday, LaLiga EA Sports confirmed that the player of the month award (for October) went to Robert Lewandowski, with the Polish striker bagging a double in El Clásico and the veteran forward has now struck with 14 goals this season in LaLiga.

Following Friday’s award, this is the third consecutive month where a FC Barcelona player steals the spotlight with Lewandowski winning the award picked up by Raphinha and Lamine Yamal in the previous two months with the duo scooping the award in August and September respectively.

Lewandowski finished October with seven goals in three games, against Alavés, Sevilla and the aforementioned El Clásico match. While Lamine Yamal shone in September with the Blaugrana shirt against Girona, Villarreal, Getafe and Osasuna, with three goals and an assist to his name.

In August, Raphinha bossed things for Barça with three goals and three assists against Valencia, Athletic, Rayo Vallecano and Real Valladolid in the first four LaLiga games for Barça.

What's next for Barcelona in November in LaLiga?

November will be a busy month for Barcelona and gets underway this Saturday as Flick’s side host Espanyol in LaLiga ahead of a trip to Belgrade next week as they face Red Star on the fourth matchday of the Champions League.

Before the FIFA break, Barça will visit Real Sociedad and after the international window will face Celta Vigo in the League and round off the month by taking on Stade Brestois in the Champions League to round off this penultimate month of the year.
