Barcelona consider selling Alexia Putellas
Barcelona would accept offers for their star player.

According to Manu Carreño on Cadena SER’s El Larguero, Barcelona and their board of directors have fallen out of love with Alexia Putellas, winner of two Ballon d’Or awards. The news, initially reported by El Periódico on 11 June, is said to be a response to Barcelona’s need to cut salary expenditure across the club.
Barcelona willing to sell Putellas
The Spanish journalist says that the club would not turn down a move if the Spain international and Champions League winner were to accept one of the offers she has from other clubs and decide to leave the Camp Nou outfit.

Putellas has one more year on her contract with the Blaugrana and earns €600,000 per year - a very low amount compared to the men’s team. However, Alexia, who was born a Culé, has no intention of leaving. She has always wanted to end her career at the club, although the double Ballon d’Or winner will have no shortage of offers.
