There has been a nasty upper body clash between Ferran and Fali. Ferran definitely comes out the worst. It will surely be a free for Barca.

Cádiz haven't changed their system despite taking the lead. They're still sitting in their 4-4-2 formation, compact and organised.

It has been a frustrating half for Barcelona. Cádiz had the best chance of the game, when Sobrino found Lucas Pérez, who shot wide.

Just 30 seconds later, Dembélé goes off on another brilliant run, this time through the middle. He gets to the edge of the box and shoots low to Ledesma's right. The away netminder gets down really well to save. 0-0

Cádiz are happy to sit deep in their 4-4-2 formation. Xavi could be considering half-time changes. Aubameyang will get the nod shortly, I reckon.

Memphis has struggled in attack. He has started to drop deeper to create play, with Frenkie de Jong acting as the runner from deep. 

Dembélé is Barca's main outlet going forward. He's unstoppable most of the time with his speed and tricks. The home side have been unable to break the Andalusians down so far. Cádiz are doing really well defensively.

Álex Fernández is the brother of Nacho, who scored for Real Madrid in their stunning comeback win against Sevilla last night. 

Memphis is lying down in the box, Barcelona keep playing. It's a collision in the box, accidental by all accounts. Dembélé crosses the corner from the right. Álex clears.

Dembélé goes on another mazy run on the right. He drops the shoulder, two Cádiz defenders drop, but then his left-footed shot is blocked as he cuts in with his trademark move.

Barcelona go high into the box again. Everything has been in the air, which will suit Cádiz more. Gavi crosses for Ferran this time, but he can't take it down and it rolls out of play. 

Busquets goes for the big switch left. It's too high for Ferran out wide. 0-0

Busquets fouls Alex. It's a free for Cádiz. Busquets is playing his 674th game for the club tonight - he's third for all-time appearances, behind Xavi and Messi.

Ferran crosses from the left. It's aimed for Memphis in the box but Cádiz clear it. Ferran will likely opt for another option next time. Crossing for Memphis against two tall physical defenders isn't exactly the Barca way.

Cádiz will be pleased with their opening minutes here. Sergio's team will be happy to keep it as tight as possible.

The Grada d’Animacio (Animation Stand) group, which provides considerable colour and noise at home games, announced its boycott on Sunday, issuing a statement on Twitter.

“Last Thursday we experienced a day that will be marked forever as the greatest infamy at our home,” the group’s statement said.

It's empty behind the goal at Camp Nou as Barca fans protest against the club for allowing thousands of Eintracht Frankfurt fans into Camp Nou last Thursday.

The players are on their way out of the tunnel as the Barcelona anthem rings out around Camp Nou. The one thing you notice is the lack of away fans here tonight. Camp Nou was full of Frankfurt fans of Thursday, an estimated 25,000.

Pique and Rubiales in €24 million conspiracy over Spanish Super Cup venue

In November 2019, several media outlets revealed that FC Barcelona captain Gerard Piqué, through his company Kosmos, was going to receive four million euros ($4.32 million) from Saudi Arabia for each of the editions of the Spanish Super Cup in his role acting as a go-between with the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

Now, two and a half years later, Spanish outlet El Confidencial has revealed just how the operation went, claiming to have accessed private conversations, documents and audios that show that the player, along with the RFEF president, Luis Rubiales, joined forces to benefit from significantly more commission for holding the Super Cup there. As if anyone ever thought it was about sharing the game in other parts of the world.

Pedri out for rest of season as Barcelona confirm hamstring injury

Pedri González could miss the rest of the season, after it was revealed that the Barcelona midfielder has suffered a hamstring tear.

The 19-year-old had to be replaced at half-time of Barça’s Europa League quarter-final defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.

“Tests carried out this morning have confirmed that Pedri has a rupture in his left biceps femoris,” Barça said in a statement on Friday. “He is out and his recovery will determine his availability.”

Barcelona’s accounts don’t add up for Eintracht gate receipts

Barcelona decided to take the initiative to find out why there was an excess number of Eintracht Frankfurt fans attending Thursday’s Europa League tie at Camp Nou.

The club says that it will open a thorough investigation to find out why so many tickets ended up in the hands of travelling supporters.

In a move designed to demonstrate transparency, the Catalan club, in the words of president Joan Laporta, confirmed, “We put 34,440 tickets on sale” and the following day, spokesperson Elena Fort, stated that Barça had receipts totalling “3 million euros from the sale of tickets from the game”.
