Barcelona’s Laporta caught making an obscene gesture
Fans at Spotify Camp Nou were chanting “jump if you’re not a Madridista,” and the former president and current candidate joined in with a crude arm gesture.

Joan Laporta is in full campaign mode. In the middle of the presidential race ahead of the March 15 election, the former Barcelona president and current candidate was filmed making an obscene gesture during the team’s match against Villarreal. Sitting in the stands at Spotify Camp Nou, rather than in the executive box occupied by interim president Rafael Yuste, Laporta was seen performing the forearm jerk.
Laporta makes obscene gesture
As first reported by Esport3, supporters in the stands were chanting in Catalan, “madridista el que no bote” — essentially, “if you’re not jumping, you’re a Madrid fan.” Laporta responded with the gesture, drawing laughs and cheers from those around him.
It is not the first time Laporta has shown that side of his personality. Known for his visceral style, the candidate appeared to be enjoying himself in the stands as Hansi Flick’s team strengthened its hold on first place with a convincing win over Villarreal. According to Cadena SER, the former president left the stadium before the final whistle.
