Update:

Alphonso Davies will miss the second leg of Bayern Munich’s Champions League quarter-final with Arsenal, after being booked in today’s opener.

Davies, who is a summer target for LaLiga club Real Madrid, incurred a one-match ban when he received a ninth-minute yellow card for a foul on Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka.

Spoils shared at the Emirates

Soon afterwards, Saka gave Arsenal a first-leg lead with a fine low shot past Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.

Six minutes after the England international’s goal, however, former Arsenal player Serge Gnabry levelled for the visitors, directing a poked finish underneath Gunners stopper David Raya. And with just over half an hour played, Bayern completed a first-half turnaround when former Tottenham idol Harry Kane netted from the spot.

In the second half, Arsenal restored parity through Leandro Trossard, who stroked home a pinpoint drive with a quarter of an hour remaining in North London, having been set up by fellow substitute Gabriel Jesus.
