Karim Benzema is the name on everyone’s lips after nailing a second consecutive hat trick in the Champions League.
Benzema’s hat trick led Real Madrid to victory, 3-1 over Chelsea in their first leg of the quarter-final in the Champions League. It’s the 34-year-old’s first time to score two consecutive hat tricks, and only three other players have done it before him in the Champions League: Luiz Adriano (2014), Lionel Messi (2016), and Cristiano Ronaldo (2017).
Benzema has scored six out of six of his last goal attempts and has at least 50 goals, his first time to achieve that in a single season.
