Betis make cheeky bid for Mohamed Salah
The Seville-based club lightheartedly asked the Egyptian for “one last dance” in green and white, with Adrián San Miguel offering to act as a his personal guide.

Mohamed Salah will walk away from Liverpool at the end of the season, and the Egyptian star won’t be short on suitors once the summer transfer window opens. One La Liga club has already stepped forward — publicly, and with a wink: Real Betis.
It started as a playful gesture, at least on the surface. But soccer has seen stranger things happen once a club casts a line, and Betis tossed theirs straight into the water with a cheeky post on X.

“One last dance, Mo,” the club wrote, pairing the message with a photo of Salah standing next to Betis goalkeeper Adrián San Miguel. In the picture, both hold up a Betis jersey customized with Salah’s name.
The snapshot goes back to the summer of 2024, when Liverpool and Betis faced off in a preseason friendly in the United States — a match the Premier League side edged by a single goal. Dominik Szoboszlai scored the winner, and Salah logged about an hour on the field, attacking the goal defended in the first half by his former teammate Adrián.
“That’s a beautiful jersey,” Salah said at the time, reacting to the gift from Adrián, who was already doing a bit of early recruiting. “His contract is up next year...” the Betis keeper reminded reporters, hinting that Salah’s Liverpool exit was coming — a departure now officially confirmed for this summer.
Realistically, the Betis post is almost certainly just a lighthearted social‑media nod. Salah is expected to chase one last major contract at this stage of his career. Still, with Betis pushing for a Champions League spot, fans can dream — and the club clearly isn’t afraid to join in on the fun.
