Boca Juniors returns to another final of the Copa Libertadores four years after the Madrid disaster and almost twenty years after their last Copa Libertadores win (in 2003 at the hands of Carlos Bianchi). El Xeneize are just 90 minutes away from being crowned South American champions once again, but they will face one of the continent’s most resolute teams, Fernando Diniz’s Fluminense.

Being at opposite ends of the soccer spectrum, with Boca being the antithesis of the Paulista game, Jorge Almiron has managed to make history by getting into the final without even winning any of their head-to-head duels in the mata-mata, round of 16, quarterfinals and semifinals.

New York has a very large Argentine population, many of them 'Xeneize' fans who will seek to be part of a party that is presumed to be historic. Find out here where you can watch the game in New York.

New York, a ‘Bostera’ city

In recent years a restaurant in the heart of Queens has gone viral for it has a very peculiar quality, having the atmosphere of the club in the La Boca neighborhood. A more ‘Bostera’ place than Riquelme itself whose menu includes a variety of Argentine barbecues accompanied by wines or, in the case of the most fervent fans, fernet with cola. The Tripadvisor portal gives it four stars out of five thanks to its fanatical decoration with the team’s blue and gold colors. During the 2022 World Cup in Qatar hundreds of fans went to cheer on Argentina at the venue regardless of whether they were from Chacarita, River (Boca’s historical rival) or Racing.

Located between 81-08 Queens Boulevard, Queens, the Boca Juniors restaurant, the official home of one of the team’s fan clubs outside of Argentina (La12 NY), will be in charge of broadcasting the final of the Copa Libertadores for all those Xeneize fans outside of Argentina itself.

The game between Boca Juniors and Fluminense will be played on Saturday, November 4, 2023.

Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT

Here’s where you can watch the game if you can’t make it to, or get into, one of the locations mentioned above.
