How did Colidio miss that.

We'll have six minutes of added time.
Boca's Valdez carded for a professional foul

Change for River
Martinez in and he replaces Enzo Perez
Just over ten minutes remaining in Buenos Aires and it's Boca who are looking the better of the two sides as River sit deep and look to maintain their slender lead.
Boca have a new lease of life and Cavani has made an instant impact.
Offside the verdict.
The ref is in touch with the VAR booth.
What a time for Cavani to score ! (if it's allowed)
A very very tight call.
VAR being consulted and a tough one to call.
Cavani has the ball in the net but the flag is up
Into the final twenty minutes of the clash.
Boca win their fifth corner of the night.
The move comes to nothing as River defend well.
Zeballos and Cavani on for Boca
Off: Campuzano and Saracchi off
Better from Boca as Barco swings in a dangerous cross that is headed over.
Cavani poised to make an entrance for the home side.
Saracchi carded for a rash challenge.
Changes for River:
In - Colidio and Rondon
Out - Fernandez, Aliendro
Looks like Casco will need to be switched with the River player still feeling the effect of that nasty fall.
Casco falls badly and may need treatment.
River poised to make two changes as Demichelis gives the subs some final words of advice.
Rondon does well to get a shot off despite the presence of two Boca defenders.
River seem to have weathered the storm and now are getting a foothold back in the contest.
River almost go two ahead as Romero pushes wide an effort from Barco from the edge of the area.
A Barco playing per side now after Valentin came on for Boca at the break.

Off we go again.
River start the second half
HT: Boca 0-1 River
Changes planned for Boca
Not a bad first half of football with many SuperClasicos being heavy going affairs in the past few years.
River striking today just when it felt that Boca were growing into the game and a touch of fortune with the ball striking the Venezuelan and ending up in the back of the Boca net.
The whistle sounds and it's River who take the lead at the break.
Salomon Rondon on target for the visitors.
Lanzini and Rondon work well and it takes a fine stop from Romero to keep River at bay.
Cavani still warming up on the Boca bench and we may see the Uruguayan striker at the start of the second half with Benedetto cutting a sole figure in the Boca attack.
We'll have four minutes of added time.
The goal stands and River are ahead.

Play still held up as confusion still reigns over the opening goal.
There is a degree of confusion now as a Boca player may have been fouled in the build up to the Rondon goal.
VAR being looked at.
A degree of fortune as the ball is deflected off Rondon which tricks the Boca keeper.
Gooooooool.

Benedetto fires from distance but the effort is straight at Armani in the River goal.
The flag is up as Benedetto almost finds the net but Armani was alert and on hand to save.
Past the half an hour mark and tension slowly growing (as is the case).
Herrera gets a boot onto the freekick but the ball goes wide as he stretches.
First card of the day goes to Campuzano (trip on De la Cruz) and another yellow, this time to Valentini for protesting.
Herrera has a go from a very acute angle. Wildly ambitious from the River Plate man.
Janson fouled and Boca have a great chance on the edge of the River box.
28.5m from goal. Possibly a little far out for a direct shot.
Blondel shoots but the wall does its job and River can ease a sigh of relief.
Past the 20 minute mark and River are well on top with Boca resorting to counter attacks with the side from Nuñez enjoying the bulk of possession and half chances.
Gonzalez Pirez almost steers the ball into his own net from a decent ball from Ramirez. Better now from Boca as they adopt a more positive approach.
The ball is now down the other side of the field as Barco pulls a shot wide of the Boca goal.
The initial niggles seem to have abated and there is more of a rhythm to the match now.
The last league meeting here at La Bombonera ended 1-0 to the home side in September 2022 with Benedetto bagging the only goal of the game.
Recent games between both sides have been tightly fought affairs with just a single goal dividing the teams.

La Bombonera
Just watching the scenes unfold at La Bombonera, one can't help but think ´how good it would be to be there´... the atmosphere looks like no other.
Let's hope the match itself matches the atmosphere although recent SuperClasico's have been stodgy affairs.
A presidential debate has led to the early staging of the SuperClasico as the final few fans make their way through the turnstiles at La Bombonera.
