Brandon Vázquez bids Cincinnati farewell after being unveiled by Rayados
The Mexican-American forward published a message on social media to thank the MLS franchise, with whom he won the Supporters’ Shield.
Brandon Vázquez is Monterrey’s star signing heading into the Liga MX 2024 Clausura tournament. The 25-year-old forward joins on a $7.5 million deal from FC Cincinnati of Major League Soccer. The incorporation of the Mexican-American striker to Fernando Ortíz’s project has generated a lot of interest for Aztec football. Vázquez was officially presented on Wednesday.
During his first moments as a Monterrey player at BBVA Stadium, USMNT player took the time to thank his previous employers: “Cincinnati, thank you! Cincinnati holds a special place in my heart. The best years of my career have been here and I’ll cherish the memories I’ve had here forever,” Vázquez said, before adding: “Thank you to all the incredible people here and all the great memories we created together at TQL. To my teammates, coaches, trainers, and anyone I’ve come across: I couldn’t have done it without you! Thank you for all the love you have shown me since day one.”
Warm welcome at Rayados
