Brandon Vázquez is waiting to receive his first call up with the United States men’s national team, but meanwhile he keeps scoring goals in the 2022 MLS campaign. The Mexican-American striker scored again over the weekend in FC Cincinnati’s 2-2 draw over Atlanta United at TQL stadium.

Vázquez tallies 15 goals and four assists in 24 assists so far this season and he has awoken the interest of Leeds United, the team managed by Jesse Marsch. According to CBS Sports, the interest is real from the Premier League side and they will keep monitoring his performances throughout the 2022 MLS regular season.

Vázquez could join Leeds in the winter

Even though Leeds United could make a move for FC Cincinnati’s striker this summer, they are looking for a long-term option and they could make an offer during the winter transfer window. According to Transfermarkt, Brandon Vázquez market value is $550 thousand but if he keeps finding the back of the net this season, his price will go up.

Vázquez is most likely going to earn his first cap with the USMNT during the international break of September and showcase his talent with the national team. The 23-year-old could become the leading striker for the United States in the 2022 FIFA World Cup, but he will have to prove his worth in the upcoming friendlies.
