Bruno Guimarães has been in fine form for Newcastle United this season. Since returning from injury, he has scored a brace against Brentford and Real Madrid are taking notice.

“I feel at home here! Real Madrid are the best team in the world. It was just a conversation, it was nothing more. I never doubted the project, I believed in it from the beginning. I always wanted to play in the Premier League and enjoy it. The fans love me and I love them. I’m not joking, I feel at home here. I need to keep moving forward,” he said after the victory over Brentford.

Since Casemiro left Real Madrid, the club have considered several midfielders, including Joao Gomes, Enzo Fernández and Lovro Majer. The World Cup in Qatar will be another opportunity for Guimarães to show his quality on the biggest stage. The midfielder is part of an ambitious project at Newcastle. The club signed Alexander Isak for €70 million, further proof of their intentions. Money will not be an issue when it comes to sit down to negotiate.

Guimarães key for Newcastle

Guimarães’ personality, charisma and talent, has managed to win over the Magpies’ fans, seeing him become an idol at St James’ Park. According to a report produced by Olocip, Guimarães is the second best player in the Newcastle squad, and is only surpassed by Kieran Trippier, with an accumulated value of 3.19. Olocip rates the player at just over €40 million, but if his growth continues, he will undoubtedly go much higher.

Olocip rates the 24-year-old as the best in the competition in attacking duels without a change of possession (0.03). At Newcastle, he has become the best finisher (1.76) and the best in the air (0.86), the goal against Brentford to open the scoring was proof of that. He is also the second player with the second best stats in successful offensive duels (0.1), finishes (0.9) and total shots (1.82). This season, Bruno Guimarães has chipped in with two goals and one assist in six Premier League games.
