Sergio Busquets declared fit, possible Inter Miami XI for Atlanta United decider
The Herons have confirmed that the Spanish midfielder has passed a fitness test and can play in the third game against the ‘Five Stripes’.
There is good news for Inter Miami ahead of Saturday’s crucial playoff first round decider against Atlanta United at Chase Stadium on Saturday night with a 8:00 pm (ET) start.
Pre-game, Argentine coach Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino stated that Spanish midfielder Sergio Busquets would be ready to face the ‘Five Stripes’, having recovered following an injury sustained in the first game against the side from Georgia.
Busquets has been given the green light to play from the Inter Miami medical team in the deciding game in the best-of-three series with a place in the Eastern Conference semi-final on the line for the winners as the Herons maintain their dream in the MLS Cup final next month.
Inter Miami's absences for the Atlanta United matchup
Despite the Spaniard returning to the squad, Inter Miami will face Atlanta without Yannick Bright and Honduran David Ruiz with Saturday’s spotlight set to shine on Messi with the Argentine fully fit and set to leave Miami on Sunday to join up with the Argentine national team who face Paraguay and Peru in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers.
