Canchimbo, Villarreal, and Neymar show off their Colombian punch against South Africa before facing Spain in the U-20 World Cup quarterfinals.

Colombia came out eager to quickly settle the match and face Spain in the quarterfinals. They got the first goal in just seven minutes, thanks to Canchimbo. But the lead could have been greater with a bit of skill from Barrera, who missed a ball in front of goal to open the scoring, although he ended up doing so a few minutes later.

With the initial advantage, the coffee growers controlled the first half, although the South Africans, led by a speedy April, timidly appeared in Jordan’s area.

The second half got off to an unexpected start. A slip by Jordan allowed Magidigidi to steal the ball, only for the Colombian goalkeeper to deny him. A penalty was awarded. The first shot was saved by Jordan, but it was retaken because the goalkeeper was out of position, and Vilakazi was unforgiving. However, instead of letting the Colombians give way, they grew, and ten minutes later, Villarreal scored the winning goal.
