Carlos Vela a doubt for Leagues Cup Round of 16 clash vs Real Salt Lake
The Mexican attacker is working hard in the hope of being fully fit for the next round with LAFC in the Leagues Cup.
LAFC debuted in the Leagues Cup with an overwhelming 7-1 victory against Juárez in the round of 32 of the tournament with Mexican striker Carlos Vela on target for the Black & Gold with two goals but the evening was clouded by the captain sustaining an injury in the second half of the match.
LAFC continue their preparation ahead of the Round of 16 clash against Real Salt Lake and wait anxiously on the fitness reports concerning Vela.
We know that Vela’s injury related to his right thigh which is still heavily bandaged, although the club have not stated how severe the player’s injury is.
Looking ahead to quarterfinals
Should LAFC advance to the next stage of the competition, they are guaranteed to face a Liga MX team in the quarterfinals as the Black and Gold will face the winners of the Tigres and Monterrey clash.
