Champions League 2023-24 quarter-final, semi-final draws: time, format, teams, dates
The ‘Road to Wembley’ and the final of the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League is getting closer as we approach the quarter final stage.
Eight teams have confirmed their places in Friday’s Champions League quarter-final draw with Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and reigning champions Manchester City all progressing from their Round of 16 clashes last week. Barça and Arsenal also advanced after Tuesday night wins against Napoli and Porto respectively and they were joined on Wednesday by Dortmund and Atletico Madrid.
Man City and Real Madrid are the favourites but all remaining sides will fancy their chances and hope to progress as the journey to the 1 June final at Wembley Stadium in North London gets that bit ever-closer.
When is the Champions League draw?
UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon (Switzerland) is the setting for the draw (on Friday, 15 March) with all remaining teams set to discover both both the quarter-final and semi-final matchups. The draw for which team is the ‘home’ side at the Wembley final will also be carried out.
The proceedings get underway at 12:00 (local time) / 07:00 am ET / 04:00 am PT.
Draw format
This will be an open draw with no restrictions at this stage of the competition meaning that teams from the same country can face one another. Teams that emerged from the same group can also be paired at this junction of the competition too.
