Charlotte FC could break MLS record thanks to Leo Messi
The match between Charlotte FC and Inter Miami could set a new MLS record.
Leo Messi and Inter Miami will bid farewell to the 2023 MLS campaign after taking on Charlotte FC on Saturday.
Messi will play at the Bank of America Stadium, and he undoubtedly generates more interest for the fans in Charlotte. The arrival of Messi will boost ticket sales to such an extent that it could break a record for the home team.

According to reports from the Miami Herald and The Athletic, more than 60,000 tickets have been sold so far for the game at the Bank of America Stadium, home of Charlotte FC, thanks to Messi’s presence and the interest of local fans in supporting their team in their fight for the playoffs.
Charlotte FC to break record thanks to Messi
In 2022, Charlotte FC set what was then a new MLS-wide attendance record. The club’s first match saw 74,479 spectators come out - the largest attendance ever. LAFC’s clash with LA Galaxy at the Rose Bowl held the previous record.
However, now with Messi in town, that record of 74,479 could be surpassed on Saturday.
