All the info you need to know on how and where to watch the Champions League match between Chelsea and Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

As was the case last season in the semi-finals, Chelsea and Real Madrid go head-to-head in the Champions League, although this year’s clash takes place at the quarter-final stage.

Chelsea - Real Madrid: Champions League quarter-final first leg live

Thomas Tuchel’s team, which will play the first leg at Stamford Bridge, defeated Lille 4-1 on aggregate to book their ticket to the quarters, while Los Blancos knocked PSG out of the competition after a great comeback at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The Blues, sitting third in the Premier League, go into the match after seeing their six-game unbeaten run in all competitions come to an end due to their heavy defeat at home against Brentford (1-4).

The Stamford Bridge factor

They will need to forget last weekend’s game if they want to get a good result against the Spanish giants in a competition where Chelsea haven’t been knocked out since the 2010-11 campaign. Actually, last season the English side managed to beat Los Blancos with a score of 3-1 over two legs.

Stamford Bridge should also play a role here, as Chelsea have won each of their last five home games in the Champions League with five clean sheets to boot.

Real beat Celta after Barcelona thrashing

But Real Madrid, who have lifted the trophy 13 times, will try to take revenge and prove once again that the Champions League is their favorite tournament.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men, who are leading the LaLiga standings with a 12-point lead over their arch rivals Barcelona, seem to have recovered from their 0-4 humiliation at the Bernabéu against the Catalan powerhouse with a 1-2 win over Celta last Saturday. With a triumph in London, they would add a seventh win in their last eight games.
