Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernández is considered one of the greatest Mexican soccer players in history. His career back that up - not only is he the national team’s top scorer of all-time with 52 goals in 109 games, he also left his mark at world-class clubs like Manchester United and Real Madrid.
Today, Hernández is still scoring at a frenetic rate with the LA Galaxy in MLS. He scored a brace in his team’s draw against Sporting Kansas City, and although he also missed a penalty in stoppage time, he is team’s top scorer on 14 goals.
However, beyond soccer, the 34-year-old Mexican forward also has a facet in business and has made some investments that have allowed him to amass a fortune of $30 million dollars.
Hernández’s businesses outside of football
Chicharito recently gave details about some of his businesses interests. He has tried his luck with a watch company, the burgeoning video game industry, and even in the cigar business.
He recently launched a campaign with Intuit Quickbooks, inviting small businesses to “think big”, a motto Hernández has preached throughout his life. The campaign is aimed at bilingual businessmen. Hernández also has his facet as a video game streamer and last year he created the podcast We are Robots, in which he talks about mental health problems.
