Chicharito joins Squid Craft Games 2!
The LA Galaxy soccer player joins up with the second edition of the streaming venture from Spanish Twitch legend Rubius.
Mexican soccer star Chicharito has announced he’ll be taking part in the second edition of the Minecraft version of Squid Games, Squid Craft Games 2.
The LA Galaxy striker, who formerly played for Manchester United and Real Madrid, is no stranger to the world of streaming, having taken part in former Barcelona defender Piqué's Kings League online soccer tournament.
Second edition of Squid Craft Games
This year’s edition will feature 120 streamers, including Chicharito, who will be battling for more than 100,000 euros in prize money.
Last year the first edition of Squid Craft Games featured 100 streamers, with El Xokas claiming the title. The acclaimed Twitch series saw audiences spike over 1,000,000 on the finalists’ channels.
Squid Craft Games goes international
This year the event has a decidedly more intentional presence, with the channel’s twitter account admitting it needs to learn to speak English.
