Chicharito posts flurry of social-media messages after Chivas exit announced
It has been confirmed that Javier Hernández is to leave Chivas for a second time - and the legendary striker has reflected on his departure on social media.
This Thursday, Chivas Guadalajara confirmed the long-anticipated departure of Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, marking the end of his second stint with the club and closing another chapter in the career of Mexico’s all-time leading scorer.
The team issued a statement thanking one of the most iconic figures in its history, and shortly after, Hernández took to his personal social media accounts to share a series of posts reflecting on this farewell.
This was Chicharito’s response:
The first of three posts from Hernández echoed the tone of the controversial videos that have in the past earned him heavy criticism. It featured the caption: “There’s no success without setbacks, no growth without shadow. I’m not striving for perfection - I’m striving to be real.”
Next came a carousel of photos accompanied by the message: “Closing a chapter that taught me strength, humility, and courage. Starting another where the goal is to enjoy. Here’s to what’s next - together, as always.”
Finally, Hernández shared a compilation of images from his first spell with Chivas, paired with a heartfelt note: “From a kid at Verde Valle to a figure on the world stage. Always with deep love for Guadalajara - day in and day out.”
