WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS
Chile vs Colombia: times, how to watch on TV, stream online | CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers
With the likes of Luis Diaz and Juan Cuadrado at their disposal, visitors Colombia will be the favourites at Estadio Monumental David Arellano.
South America’s World Cup qualifiers continue on Tuesday night as Chile host Colombia at Estadio Monumental David Arellano.
Chile have struggled in recent years and have not qualified for either of the last two World Cups. The ‘golden generation’ of Alexis Sanchez, Arturo Vidal and Claudio Bravo are all approaching the end of their career and head coach Eduardo Berizzo is yet to find a replacement for the national icons.
They began their qualifying campaign with a 3-1 loss against Uruguay, who were comfortably the better team across the 90 minutes.
Colombia also failed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar but there is reason to believe that a new team is forming. They beat Venezuela 1-0 in their opening qualifying fixture and have a smattering of elite talents.
Luis Diaz (Liverpool) and Juan Cuadrado (Inter Milan) both have experience with top European clubs and Colombia have kept six clean sheets in their last eight fixtures.
