City reject 80 million offer from PSG for Bernardo Silva
Diario AS understands that the French champions have made an initial offer of 80 million for the Portuguese star - which City have rejected.
Paris Saint-Germain remain active in the transfer window and continue their search for a midfielder. It looks like they have agreed terms with Napoli’s Fabián Ruiz although that deal depends on Keylor Navas, who could be included in the operation. It looks like the Spaniard won’t the only one to arrive - PSG have their sights set on Bernardo Silva as well.
Diario AS understands that PSG have made an initial offer of 80 million euros for the Portuguese playmaker but that bid was turned down by Manchester City. Pep Guardiola considers him an important player in their project and will not let him go at any price. Undeterred, the Ligue 1 champions could put in an increased offer in the coming days - an amount more in line with Silva’s value.
With City rejecting an offer of 80 million, Barcelona, who have been linked to Bernardo Silva on several occasions, would effectively be priced out of the operation. The reason: Frenkie de Jong. If they are unable to sell the Dutch midfielder, they won’t have the financial ability to buy Silva. If the De Jong does not leave, the Silva will not arrive under any concept.
