Clausura Tournament 2023 already has a confirmed start date
During the Liga MX General Assembly today the dates for the coming Clausura and Apertura MX tournaments were decided.
This afternoon, at the offices of the Mexican Soccer Federation, a General Assembly was held between Mikel Arriola, executive president of Liga MX, and the tournament’s club owners. They met to discuss various issues relating to the Apertura 2022 and coming clausura 2023. As point of order, one of the items discussed was the start of the next two tournaments.
Clausura 2023 will start on January 6th, 7th and 8th of next year. In addition, the tournament will stop for 10 days from March 20th to 29th for the FIFA international calendar. Finally, the Vuelta Final is scheduled for Sunday, May 28th.
Apertura Calendar 2023
The dates for the 2023 Apertura were also defined, with its start scheduled for June 30th, July 1st and 2nd will see match day 1 complete. The Vuelta Final will be played on Sunday, December 17th.
