Columbus Crew welcomes LAFC to Lower.com Field in Ohio for the 2024 Leagues Cup final, where, whatever happens, once again, the trophy and the distinction will go to an MLS team. Inter Miami won last year’s tournament with recent arrival Leo Messi, the franchise’s first trophy.

The Crew is coming off a 3-1 win over a Philadelphia Union team that, despite managing to tie things up, was unable to control the offensive power of Diego Rossi and Cucho Hernández. Now the current MLS champion will also seek to win the 2024 Leagues Cup under the leadership of Wilfried Nancy, demonstrating why they are the best project in American soccer right now.

LAFC came up big against a Colorado Rapids side that had just eliminated Mexicans, América, one of the title contenders. With goals from Bogusz, Kamara, Bouanga and O’Brien, the Los Angeles team won 4-0 to book their place in the final, where World Cup winners Hugo Lloris and Olivier Giroud could win their first title with the American team.
