CONCACAF Champions Cup quarterfinals set: Teams, matchups and schedule
The lineup for the 2026 CONCACAF Champions Cup is set - with a duel between Liga MX and MLS clubs now in prospect.
The second legs of the CONCACAF Champions Cup round of 16 are in the books, and the bracket for the quarterfinals is officially set. Four MLS vs Liga MX matchups await; for the second straight year, no other league is represented in the last eight.
Who’s through to the 2026 Champions Cup QFs?
Holders Cruz Azul are among the quarterfinalists, after edging out fellow Mexicans Monterrey in a last-16 tie decided by a single goal. Up next, La Máquina will face Los Angeles FC, who also secured their last-eight place with a narrow aggregate win, defeating Costa Ricans Alajuelense.
Meanwhile, Nashville SC’s 1-1 second-leg draw with Inter Miami eliminated Lionel Messi’s men on away goals. That sets up a Nashville clash with Club América, after the Mexico City giants scraped past the Philadelphia Union.
Deportivo Toluca comprehensively overturned a first-leg deficit to reach the quarterfinals: In Wednesday’s return against San Diego in Mexico, Los Diablos Rojos routed the MLS side 4-0, to earn a matchup with the Los Angeles Galaxy. The Californians eased past Jamaicans Mount Pleasant.
And in the most dramatic of the last-16 second legs, Tigres clinched their quarterfinal place with a 5-1 win over FC Cincinnati, wiping out the Americans’ 3-0 opening-leg advantage. Fernando Gorriarán scored the decisive goal deep into stoppage time, as Los Felinos booked a clash with the Seattle Sounders, who dominated the Vancouver Whitecaps in the last 16.
