How to watch the Copa del Rey draw

You’ll be able to watch a live stream of the draw on the Spanish Football Federation’s official YouTube channel (in Spanish).

Copa del Rey draw live with AS USA

Another option is to follow the draw with AS USA’s live-text coverage with William Allen on hand with all the build-up to the event, before taking you through the round-of-16 ties as they are revealed.

How will the Copa del Rey draw work?

The highest-ranked teams will be paired against the lowest-ranked available opposition. For example, a club from Segunda or 1a RFEF (the third tier of the Spanish league pyramid), is guaranteed to face a top-flight side and a home tie.

When will the ties be played?

The round-of-16 ties, which will be single-elimination matches involving extra time and penalties if necessary, are scheduled to be played on 17, 18 and 19 January 2023.

In each tie, the team from the lower division will be at home. If both clubs are from the same tier, home advantage will be decided during Saturday’s draw.
