Could Napoli striker Victor Osimhen join PSG?

PSG sporting advisor Luís Campos is set to meet the agent of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, report Foot Mercato.

Osimhen has been in sensational form as Napoli look to end a 33-year wait for the Serie A title. The Nigeria international has scored 25 goals in just 29 matches this season, attracting interest from top European clubs along the way.

Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in the player who has a deal with Napoli until 2025. Napoli reportedly want €150m for Osimhen and this is where it could prove to be difficult for PSG, who are constricted by financial fair play.

During the upcoming international break, Campos, already under pressure at PSG, is to meet with Osimhen’s entourage to discuss the striker’s future. Osimhen, still only 24, would favour a move to the Premier League.

Napoli’s position

Napoli president Aurelio de Laurentiis wants the player to sign a new deal with the Partenopei, as interest increases moving closer to the summer window.

If an offer of €150m amount is not made, De Laurentiis and Cristiano Guintoli will not be negotiating with suitors as De Laurentiis is keen to keep Osimhen at the Italian club beyond this season.

Osimhen breaks Eto’o’s record in Serie A

Osimhen scored twice in Sunday’s 4-0 win over Torino to break Samuel Eto’o’s record for the highest number of goals scored by an African player in a single Serie A season.

For now, he is fully focused on getting Napoli over the line in Serie A and going as far as possible in the Champions League this season.
