Could Pachuca and Mexico’s Luis Chávez join LaLiga club Valencia?
After Nico González sustained a foot injury, Valencia could replace the player with Mexico international Chávez, who caught the eye at the World Cup.
Pachuca midfielder Luis Chávez is reportedly a target for Valencia after impressing for Mexico at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Valencia make Chávez enquiry
According to the journalist Lahcen Senhaji, Los Che have made contact with Pachuca over a move for the 26-year-old, as they look to cover the absence of Nico González.
González, who is on loan at Valencia from Barcelona, has been ruled out for up to three months after suffering a fractured metatarsal in his left foot.
Chávez seeking Europe switch
Chávez, who helped Pachuca to their seventh Mexican title in the Apertura 2022 tournament, has rejected an offer from fellow Liga MX club Monterrey and is prioritising a move to European football.
Although he remains under contract at Pachuca until 2025, Los Tuzos do not tend to stand in star players’ way when it comes to selling them. In recent times, Hirving Lozano and Erick Gutiérrez have been stand-out examples of this transfer policy.
