Since the beginning of 2023, rumours have been rife that all is not well between former Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner Georgina Rodríguez, star of the Soy Georgina show on Netflix.

Journalists and those closest to the Portuguese striker have claimed that the influencer has driven a wedge between Ronaldo and his family, especially his mother, that she “spends all day stuck in a shopping centre in Riyadh” and “does nothing but spend, spend and spend”. Portuguese TV personality Léo Caeiro even went one step further, boldly stating that “things aren’t going well and it’s likely that they will split up. The truth is that Cristiano is fed up with her”.

Georgina and Cristiano’s “monumental” fight

The latest development has come from Tiktoker Abel Planelles, who has revealed details of a conversation he had with someone who had recently spent time in the couple’s company: “A month ago, they had a monumental fight before getting on a flight. They were shouting loudly at each other”, he begins. Georgina was apparently “incredibly angry” with Ronaldo as she boarded the plane and didn’t speak to anyone onboard, while the Al Nassr player was “very polite” and did say hello. Planelles claims that they didn’t speak to each other for the duration of the flight following the fight, which they had in plain view of those around them.

Georgina hits back at Cristiano speculation

This latest incident has done little to quash speculation that began several months ago and which Georgina has addressed on more than one occasion. In January, her supposedly ‘overly serious’ demeanour during Ronaldo’s unveiling as an Al Nassr player made the headlines, to which she responded by posting a photo of the couple on Instagram along with the message: “At the age of 22, I met the love of my life. What a handsome couple”.

A few weeks later, with the Portuguese at the centre of a storm caused by two women claiming to have had affairs with him, she again fought back against the rumours by sharing a video of Ronaldo in action on the field.

“Gossips” and “idiots”

And Georgina has once again bit back against these latest claims, posting a photo of the night sky along with lyrics from “Si yo muero” (”If I die”) by American singer Romeo Santos, which appear to be a direct message to those sticking their nose into her business: “The envious make up rumours, gossips spread them and idiots believe them”.
