Cristiano Ronaldo pictured in Saudi dress as Al Nassr mark Founding Day
Al Nassr have shared images of star striker Ronaldo in local get-up as the club’s squad celebrated Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day.
Cristiano Ronaldo was pictured in traditional local attire as he joined the rest of the Al Nassr squad in celebrating Saudi Arabia’s Founding Day on Wednesday.
In images shared by the Saudi Pro League club, a smiling Ronaldo could be seen marking the kingdom’s founding by Imam Mohammed bin Saud in February 1727.
Founding Day recently introduced in Saudi Arabia
This is the second time that Founding Day has been held in Saudi Arabia, after King Salman bin Abdulaziz announced in January last year that the anniversary would be celebrated every 22 February.
Ronaldo’s Al Nassr top of Saudi Pro League
Al Nassr are currently in pole position to win their 10th Saudi league title. Rudi García’s side sit top of the table with 40 points, ahead of Al Ittihad and Al Shabab on goal difference.
Ronaldo, who joined Al Nassr in January, has scored five goals in five appearances for the Knights of Najd.
