Cristiano Ronaldo sparks speculation with new Bayern Munich following
Müller, Sané, Sabitzer, Musiala, Goretzka, Boateng, Gnabry, Kimmich and Gravenberch all now follow the Portuguese star’s Instagram account.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s future remains unclear. And as the rumours intensify, with the interest of Atlético Madrid, Chelsea, and even a potential return to the Bernabéu, Bayern Munich are also said to be on the lookout for a number ‘9′ after Robert Lewandowski’s departure to Barça. And for that reason, it hasn’t gone unnoticed that there have been several interesting movements on Instagram.
Where next for Ronaldo?
The Bavarian club players Müller, Sané, Sabitzer, Musiala, Goretzka, Boateng, Gnabry, Kimmich and Gravenberch have all started following the Manchester United striker on the social media platform. A factor that some people have interpreted as a sign that they could soon share a changing room together.
Could Instagram follows predict Ronaldo transfer?
As we first reported on 23 June, Bayern’s idea if Lewandowski was to leave, would be to sign Cristiano. With the Pole now already wearing the Barça shirt, the Portuguese goal-getter’s arrival seems closer. Align that with the other news we first broke at AS, later confirmed by the English media, Ronaldo’s firm intention was to leave Old Trafford this summer, in search of more Champions League football.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is willing to drop 30% of his salary to leave Manchester, as made clear by Jorge Mendes, the representative of the 37-year-old forward. Another attraction to the Bundesliga would be him targeting a title in a fourth of the big five leagues. Setting him clear of the rest.
