Cruz Azul make offer for striker Santos Borré
AS Colombia understands that Cruz Azul made an offer for Borré, however, there is still no agreement with the player.
Rafael Santos Borré could be set to leave German club Eintracht Frankfurt. Dino Toppmöller, the club’s new coach, is not counting on the player, who could find a new club before the end of August.
There has been interest in the 27-year-old attacker in Mexico. AS Colombia understands that Cruz Azul have made an offer for Borré, however, there is still no agreement with the player.
The offer submitted by Cruz Azul is $10million. For the operation to materialize, the salary agreement and the green light from Borré are needed.

Borré has a contract with Frankfurt until 2025, however, he is not in the plans of Toppmöller and wants a move before the end of the transfer window to maintain his place in the Colombian national team.
After the signing of Kolo Muani, the Colombian attacker has been relegated to the bench. He only started 10 Bundesliga games and registered three goals in all competitions last term.
Cruz Azul are looking for a goalscorer to improve their attacking department. La Máquina have only one win in seven games (against Atlanta United in the Leagues Cup) and have only scored five goals. In three of those games, they failed to score. In Liga MX, they have one draw and three defeats after four games played.
