Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best players in the Premier League and one of the league’s top assistors. On the way to helping Manchester City to league titles, he has become the seventh top assistor in the history of the Premier League. The Belgian has provided 92 assists in his entire career in the English league. And curiously, ahead of him in the ranking of best assists in the history of the Premier League are two Spaniards: David Silva and Cesc Fabregas.

De Bruyne’s six assists in the Premier League this season have taken him to within one of David Silva’s 93 assists during his 10 seasons in the Premier League. All the indications are that the Belgian playmaker will surpass the Canary Islander this season. He currently has six assists in the current edition of the Premier League. The next game in which the City playmaker will have the opportunity to equal or surpass Silva will be on 2 October against Manchester United in the Manchester derby.

Fabregas behind Giggs

De Bruyne is still a long way behind the other Spaniard in the running, Cesc Fabregas. The current Como midfielder registered 111 assists during his 12 seasons in the Premier League. The World Cup winner holds the honour of having the second most assists in the history of the Premier league, only surpassed by Ryan Giggs, with 162.

Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp is in fourth position (94) and Frank Lampard is in third (102). The Dutchman is only two assists ahead of De Bruyne, so it looks like he will overtake him this season, while he still has 10 to go to catch up with the current Everton manager.
