Del Prete: “I feel very safe in Mexico, I reject violence”
The Pumas player was unaware of the situation in the state of Sinaloa and reiterated that he personally has not suffered any unpleasant events in Mexico.
Unfortunately, once again, violence reared its ugly head once again in Mexico, with the Liga MX directly affected. The alleged capture and arrest of Ovidio Guzmán unleashed violence in Sinaloa and that led to the postponement of Friday’s game between Mazatlán and León.
Despite having only been in the country for a short time (he arrived in June last year), Pumas’ forward Gustavo del Prete gave his position on the matter. “Obviously I reject all violence and violence in football is no exception. I feel very safe in this country, I have experienced many, very beautiful things here with my family,” the Argentinean said.
Adapting well to the Liga MX
On a happier note, the former Estudiantes de la Plata player highlighted the good moment of form he is experiencing on a personal level: “I feel faster, lighter, the pre-season had a very positive effect on me, I benefitted from it. Last season, I regretted not doing it. I’m already in a better moment,” the Argentinean confessed.
Del Prete enjoyed a good run in friendly matches, he scored against both Cruz Azul and América in the Sky Cup, also in the game against Atlante.
