Did Rudi Garcia say Cristiano Ronaldo will return to Europe?
Ronaldo recently signed for Al-Nassr for a record-breaking contract worth $230 million.
After a painful exit from Manchester United, Ronaldo tried to stay in Europe for the remainder of the season. Unfortunately, teams seemed not to want to match the salary expectations the Portuguese star wanted, and options were limited. That’s why and with a contract offer too good to be true, Ronaldo set sail to Saudia Arabia to play for Al-Nassr.
Ronaldo debuted with his team, scoring two goals when they played PSG in an exhibition match. But just after one league match and one Super Cup match in an official capacity, his coach, Rudi Garcia, now says the star will be moving to Europe soon.
Al-Nassr coach Rudi Garcia opens a Pandora’s Box with statement
“Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition, as he helps to disperse defenders. He is one of the best players in the world. He will not finish his career at Al Nassr, he will return to Europe.” Said Rudi Garcia.
The French manager did say before Ronaldo’s arrival that he wanted to bring Messi to the club instead of the Portuguese.
“I tried to bring Messi straight from Doha, first” before he broke out into laughter as well as the other people present in the room
A rocky start in their relationship.
When is Cristiano Ronaldo’s next match with Al-Nassr?
Al-Nassr will visit Al Fateh this Friday, February 3rd, at 10 am Eastern Time.
Al Fatah is sixth in the Saudi Pro League, while Al-Nassr is in the first position with 33pts.
