Diego Valdés his has sights on move to Europe

The Chilean has already expressed his desire to make the move to Europe.

Diego Valdés is having a good time at América. The Chilean has played 13 games in the current tournament where he has four goals and the same number of assists, being one of the best players in Liga MX. The midfielder has however expressed his desire to play in Europe, hoping that the doors will soon open for him after a long career in Mexican soccer.

“Every tournament that ends, I emphasize to those who work with me that if I have an option to go to Europe or to leagues in which they are watched more in Chile, I would like to be there. They are working on it. If something comes up in Europe, hopefully it will be soon, I’ve been in Mexico for seven or eight years now and I’d like to play in another league” Valdés told Radio ADN.

Valdés hoping for European move

The 28-year-old maintains his hope that some European team will be interested in his services and if we recent history shows that América would not turn down the opportunity as they have given their players the opportunity as long as it is a negotiation that suits all parties.

Valdés has only been With América for under a year. In the previous campaign, he scored seven goals with provided five assists in the 19 games he played and is currently a key player in Fernando Ortíz’s squad.

Currently, according to Transfermarkt, his market value is 6 million euros.
