The big news from Real Madrid’s final training session ahead of Monday’s LaLiga game against Getafe was the absence of Eduardo Camavinga and the return of Dean Huijsen. Huijsen’s comeback offers some relief to coach Álvaro Arbeloa, who had been down to just two healthy central defenders, Antonio Rüdiger and David Alaba, for this fixture.

Injuries continue to plague Madrid

Other defenders, including Éder Militão and Raúl Asencio, remain sidelined with injuries. Militão has started light running and ball work on the Valdebebas pitch, while Asensio recovers from a severe neck strain sustained last Wednesday in Real Madrid’s Champions League clash against Benfica. The Canary Islands-born defender went down after a heavy collision with Camavinga and had to be carried off the field on a stretcher.

Camavinga, meanwhile, missed training due to severe tooth pain, forcing him to visit a dentist. His availability against Getafe will remain uncertain until matchday.

Huijsen returns, Mbappé and Bellingham out

Huijsen has missed Real Madrid’s last two matches, against Osasuna and Benfica, due to calf issues that have limited his consistency. His presence in training, however, highlights the young defender’s dedication to stepping in whenever the team needs him.

Arbeloa will still have key absences to manage, including Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, and Dani Ceballos.
