El Salvador and Honduras return to action during the first international window of the year to play a friendly at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California. This game is important for both teams as they will see each other again during the World Cup qualifiers with the goal to secure a spot to the tournament in CONCACAF.

Unfortunately, this game will not be broadcasted anywhere and only fans that are able to attend in person will be able to watch it. It was reported that the organizers, AGM Sport Inc., of this friendly match didn’t reach an agreement with any television station to broadcast the game live in the United States, El Salvador or Honduras.

Problems with the organization

Several journalists in Los Angeles have also complained to AGM Sport for the lack of coverage they have granted for both national teams prior to the friendly. The organizers never provided a schedule of training days available for media members to cover or parking passes to access the stadium on game day.

So several journalists decided to boycott the game due to the lack of communication with AGM Sport and the stadium will not be at its full capacity. These problems have nothing to do with the Federations of El Salvador or Honduras, it is the organizers that are to blame. The only way to follow the minute-by-minute of the match is through the radio station YSKL in El Salvador that has the rights to cover it.
