Manchester City striker Erling Haaland missed Norway’s last Euro 2024 qualifier due to injury but everything suggests that he will be ready to face Liverpool in the Premier League on Saturday.

City and Liverpool are top of the standings with 28 and 27 points respectively, meaning today’s winner can end the weekend top of the league, although Arsenal could have a say in that as they also sit on 27 points.

Haaland broke the all-time record for most goals scored in a Premier League season last season, as City won everything, including the Champions League.

Haaland to play vs Liverpool

The Norwegian striker has yet to score against Liverpool in the Premier League and Jurgen Klopp’s men will have to deal with his threat at the Etihad after the 23-year-old confirmed he will be in action for Pep Guardiola’s side.

“See you tomorrow,” were the words he posted on his Instagram account, with a photo of him training.

Haaland’s numbers

This season, Haaland has 13 goals and three assists in the 12 games he has played in the Premier League. He will be looking to add to that tally against Klopp’s side in Manchester.
