FIFA confirm four interested bidders to host 2027 Women’s World Cup
FIFA will confirm the host nation(s) of the 2027 tournament when they meet at the 2024 FIFA Congress.
The 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup will be the tenth edition of the competition and the tournament (like the forthcoming 2023 edition) will feature 32 national teams.
21 April was the FIFA deadline for potential hosts to submit their interest in staging the tournament with four ‘expressions of interest’ forthcoming.

A bid observer programme will now be undertaken by FIFA with 8 December (2023) the deadline for final confirmed bids with the final decision on how will host the competition set to be taken by the FIFA Council at the 2024 Congress which is scheduled for 17 May.
“We are thrilled by the expressions of interest received, not least because they come from member associations with a strong football tradition representing four confederations, thus confirming the consistent popularity of women’s football across the world,” said FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura.
