The 134th Clásico Regio was marred by fighting between rival supporters at the Shell Energy Stadium, the home of the Houston Dynamo as a packed house crammed into the ground to see the two Liga MX giants in action even though the game was a friendly match.

Tigres ran out with a 2-1 victory over Rayados and at the end of the contest minor skirmishes broke out around the stadium with no segregation between the rival supporters.

The stadium security officers were quick to snuff out any escalation and the scenes were a small blot on what had previously been a festival of Mexican soccer with rival fans mingling and mixing together without any problem.

Tigres fans were in the clear majority with the Texan stadium a riot of predominantly yellow. The current Liga MX champions were forced to come from behind with Rayados leading at the interval and the final 2-1 scoreline was welcomed with intense jublication by the Tigres faithful despite the game only being a friendly contest.
