Filipe Luis on shortlist for Rayados bench
Following his surprising departure from Flamengo, the Brazilian press are linking Filipe Luis with the Liga MX giants.

After the departure of Doménec Torrent, Rayados de Monterrey continue to search for a coach while Nicolás Sánchez takes charge of the first team as interim coach.
Despite rumors about Sánchez possibly staying in the position, several media outlets in Brazil, including RTI Esporte, have mentioned Filipe Luis as a possible coach to lead Rayados.
The former coach of Flamengo, where he won the Copa Libertadores, was surprisingly dismissed from his position a couple of weeks ago, so he is free and is already being approached by the Monterrey management.
This is not the first time Filipe Luis has been mentioned as a possible manager in Liga MX; rumors previously linked the former Flamengo coach to the position of manager for América, although these were just rumors.

What did Filipe Luis win with Flamengo?
The Brazilian coach managed Fla from 2024; in two years as the club’s coach he was crowned champion of the Brasileirao, the Copa and the Supercopa of Brazil, the Campeonato Carioca and the Copa Libertadores.
Under the former Atletico Madrid defender, Flamengo reached an Intercontinental Cup final and made it to the quarterfinals of the 2025 Club World Cup.

Rayados doubt
Despite the media speculation, people close to Filipe Luis have distanced themselves from the Mexican side as it is said that the Brazilian intends to continue his coaching career in European football in the near future.
