Flick recovers defensive pair for Brest test

Balde and Eric García return and are available for Barcelona’s fifth Champions League outing. Yamal will miss out.

Two pieces of good news for Flick this Monday: first, that he will be able to count on Alejandro Balde, who has now overcome the discomfort in his hamstring that prevented him from playing against Celta at the weekend.

And second, the return of Eric García, now fully recovered from the injury to his right adductor that has kept him out for almost five weeks.

Lamine Yamal still not ready

The bad news is that the Barça coach will be without Lamine Yamal. The striker continues with his rehabilitation process from a syndesmosis affecting his right ankle - an injury he suffered almost three weeks ago against Red Star in Belgrade.

The teenager underwent fresh tests on Sunday but the sensations are still not so good. Flick is taking no chances and has opted to reserve him as a precautionary measure. In principle, and if there are no setbacks, he will be available for Saturday’s home game against Las Palmas.

Ferran Torres is also expected to return against Las Palmas, having completed his first training session with the group on Monday.

Ronald Araújo will have to wait a little longer. The central defender from Carrúa could receive medical clearance for next week, either against Mallorca on December 3, or four days later against Betis. While the next to reappear could be Ansu Fati, although in his case, he still has a minimum of three weeks left before his expected return.
