Former Premier League star returns to Liga MX
The Venezuelan striker will have his second stint as a player for the Tuzos of Pachuca.

After bringing his brief second spell in European soccer to an end, striker Salomón Rondón has returned to Liga MX to pull on the colors of Pachuca’s Tuzos for a second time. The Venezuelan arrives to bolster the Hidalgo club’s attack ahead of the Clausura 2026 tournament.
Through its official platforms, the team from La Bella Airosa shared a video featuring the Venezuelan international dressed in cowboy attire.

“From afar the city seemed the same, but the silence reminded him that glory could still be there, waiting for him like the echo of a gunshot. Once he was lifted onto shoulders; now memory and closeness welcomed him, greeting the hero who had the courage to return,” a voice says in the video.
It is worth noting that the South American joined Pachuca at the start of 2024 after leaving River Plate. Across three tournaments, the striker racked up 36 goals in 70 games and added eight assists. Rondón was a key figure in the team’s strong showing at the 2024 Intercontinental Cup, where the Hidalgo side won the Americas Derby and the Challenger Cup. Some will remember his time in the English Premier League, featuring for both Everton, Newcastle and West Brom.
