Former Serie A star Sinisa Mihajlovic passes away
Mihajlovic was in charge of Serie A side Bologna until September of this year.


Sinisa Mihajlovic has passed away at the age of 53. Mihajlovic had been ill with leukemia for some time but fought against the disease to continue doing what he loved. He leaves behind his wife, five children, and granddaughter.
The Serbian was in charge of Serie A side Bologna until September of this year. At club level, Mihajlovic played in Serie A with Roma, Sampdoria, Lazio and Inter.

“I respect the illness, I will face it, with chest puffed out, looking it in the eyes, the way I always have done”, he said years ago.

Serie A legend
He made 63 appearances and scored 10 goals for Yugoslavia, playing in the 1998 World Cup and in Euro 2000.
