France’s iconic blue home jersey
The home jersey is a departure from the one France wore at the 2022 edition. While the deep, navy blue color has been maintained, the jersey also features a subtle zigzag pattern - with an F motif in lighter, royal blue. The V-neck has been replaced by a white, polo collar with one-button fastening in red and blue.
The embroidered French Football Federation rooster crest appears in a copper color, topped with two copper stars representing the country’s two World Cups won in 1998 and 2018. The Nike logo is also copper with a royal blue border. There is a small French flag motif on the edges of both sleeves.

The away jersey is mint “glacier” green with dark green trimming on the sleeves and flanks. It features a V-neck, with both the embroidered French Football Federation rooster crest and Nike logo in full color stitching. One subtle feature appear inside the shirt in the neck area - a nod to New York’s famous landmark the Statue of Liberty, designed by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi. A radiate halo motif with seven rays and the word Liberté (Freedom).
The press release explains the ideas behind the designs: “Steal the moment. A celebration of France’s multicultural heritage, this iconic French blue jersey features a unifying ‘FFF’ print and dynamic metallic details for footballers intent on pulling off the boldest win yet”.
Ahead of the World Cup in the US, a Nike designer for the French soccer team drew inspiration from a symbol of 🇫🇷🇺🇸 friendship: the Statue of Liberty.

Aero-FIT cooling technology
Both jerseys are made of Nike’s Aero-FIT performance cooling technology - which the players will be grateful for when the heat is on this summer. Textile engineering which creates airflow between skin and fabric and in turn helping to regulate body temperatures and keep players dry even when they sweat. There is also an environmentally friendly aspect as the jerseys are made from 100% textile waste.
Deschamps’ team will wear their new World Cup strip for the first time on Thursday when they face Brazil at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
