Fulgencio to leave Tigres and make Atlas move
The 23-year-old Mexican winger could get more opportunities in Guadalajara with Atlas, who appear set to take him on a one-year loan.
Tigres are already preparing their squad for the Clausura 2024 with one player looking set to be moved on imminently - Raymundo Fulgencio.
Sources close to the club inform AS México that Atlas are interested in taking the young Mexican winger, with the idea of a one-year loan deal. Talks with talks the Beñat San José-based club are believed to be at an advanced stage.
Red card
In Guadalajara, Rayo would have more opportunities to play than he has enjoyed during the past couple of years with Tigres. While he appeared in all six playoff games, he started just one and was sent off in the second leg final against América on Sunday for slapping Julián Quiñones. During the regular phase, he made nine appearances under Robert Dante Siboldi - four of them coming off the bench, and scored two goals, both in the Week 7 game against Querétaro. He also found the target in the first leg of the quarter finals against Puebla.
His dismissal in the final didn’t go down well with Tigres fans, some of whom ultimately blamed him for the defeat to the Coapa team (Tigres lost 4-1 on aggregate).
