Gareth Bale is the latest star to land in Major League Soccer and on Monday he was introduced as the Los Angeles FC’s new player. The Welshman seemed eager to play in MLS and he is expected to make his debut with LAFC on 17 July against Nashville SC at GEODIS Park.

According to information from AS USA, the 32-year-old will play 20 minutes in his MLS debut and 40 minutes against Sporting Kansas City at Children’s Mercy Park. Gareth Bale will make his debut at Banc of California stadium on 29 July when LAFC hosts the Seattle Sounders and he is expected to play 60 minutes.

On his time at Real Madrid

Gareth Bale spent nine years with the LaLiga giants and he won five UEFA Champions Leagues during that time, among other trophies. During the press conference held on Monday at the Banc of California stadium, the Welshman talked about transitioning from Madrid to Los Angeles and what people should expect from him with LAFC.

Yeah, the transition is not, I guess, an easy one but one I’m looking forward to the challenge. Obviously being in the middle of a season is a bit different but yeah, I feel like I’ve been keeping myself fit in Europe’s off-season, and yeah, hopefully I can hit the ground running,” said Bale.

But yeah, this club has made the move already so much easier for me, so I can just concentrate on my football, and yeah, hopefully get on with doing what I do best,” added the Welshman.

Bale talked about playing alongside Carlos Vela

“Yeah, really excited. Really looking forward to it. What he’s done for this club since he’s been here has been amazing. He’s been a big player for this club and just training with him this morning and chatting with him this morning, I’ve known him and played against him in the past. Yeah, we get on very well and I’m looking forward to light up a partnership with him and hopefully like I said, win some games and win some trophies.”
