Gerardo Martino calls up 38 players for Mexico’s upcoming games
The Mexican national team will play five games between May and June, three friendlies and two for the Nations League, and left Hirving Lozano out of the roster.
The Mexico national team continues to prepare for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in the winter and they have announced a 38-man roster for the upcoming five games. El Tri will play three exhibition matches and two for the CONCACAF Nations League this summer.
Mexico return to action
The first three exhibition games will be played in the United States venues against Nigeria (28 May), Uruguay (2 June) and Ecuador (7 June). Then they will prepare for the start of the Nations League and will play against Suriname (11 June) and Jamaica (14 June).
The coach of the Mexican national team decided to not include Hirving Lozano in the upcoming games because the Napoli player will undergo shoulder surgery in the upcoming days. The biggest surprise is the call up of Marcelo Flores, who announced on Monday that he will represent Mexico at the international level.
Also it was confirmed that the Mexico national team will play two friendly games prior traveling to Qatar for the start of the World Cup. El Tri will play against Brazil in September in Pasadena, California at the Rose Bowl and then against Peru.
